Water coolers and water purifiers for PGIMER

On June 19, 2024, the Head of the Department of Hospital Administration-cum-Medical Superintendent, PGIMER requested VMRK to donate water coolers and water purifiers. These were needed for their recently established new Outpatient Department Ward to provide clean and safe drinking water for staff, patients, and visitors.

VMRK, grateful to PGIMER for providing the opportunity to extend our charitable initiatives further, took prompt action. On the morning of June 24, five water coolers, each with a capacity of 80 liters along with water purifiers, were purchased. These items were then loaded onto a pickup truck by a team of five VMRK volunteers and transported to PGIMER.

Later that day VMRK presented these items to the Director, Medical Superintendent, and other staff members of PGIMER. The director of PGIMER expressed heartfelt appreciation for VMRK’s ongoing support and timely assistance to the institution.

Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK), Nawan Nagar, a renowned charitable organization has been establishing new milestones in its charitable services. As a significant contribution, VMRK has donated five water coolers, each with a capacity of 80 liters and water purifiers to PGI. Conveying gratitude to VMRK, Professor Vivek Lal, Director of PGI, said that the dedication of organizations like VMRK in supporting healthcare services is commendable. VMRK’s continuous efforts in providing essential resources significantly enhance our ability to serve patients and their families effectively. The recent donation of water coolers and purifiers is a testament to VMRK’s unwavering support and commitment to public health.

Professor Vipin Kaushal, the Head of the Department of Hospital Administration-cum-Medical Superintendent said that PGI, which caters to a large number of patients and their attendants, faced a shortage of pure drinking water due to the ongoing heat waves in northern India. VMRK has taken steps to fulfill this need by donating high-quality water coolers and water purifiers to the institution. Professor Kaushal also said that VMRK has been continuously supporting PGI, which has previously donated essential resources such as ventilators, wheelchairs, blankets, and PPE kits, and provided manpower during critical times in the past.

At the charity event, Manmohan Singh representing VMRK, highlighted the organization’s commitment to serve humanity under the inspiration of Sant Baljit Singh Ji. He also said that VMRK is extending its charitable activities to challenging terrain areas, organizing free medical camps, and providing refreshment facilities during pilgrimages like Shri Adi Kailash Yatra and Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. VMRK also provides medical services and free food to devotees during the annual Kanwar Yatra. Manmohan Singh thanked the Director and Medical Superintendent of PGI for giving VMRK the opportunity to serve those in need. Reaffirming VMRK’s commitment to provide assistance during any challenges, Manmohan said that VMRK takes great pride in contributing to the welfare of the community and it would continue with its efforts to serve mankind, especially during these challenging times.
