BASIC MEDICAL CARE AND PILGRIMAGE CAMPS

Medical Care Programs

Respect everyone, love everyone, and serve everyone.
Sant Baljit Singh Ji

Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK) organizes medical care programs inspired by the teachings of Sant Baljit Singh Ji. Basic medical care and free medicines are provided at medical camps held at VMRK centers, slum areas, remote villages, and during various pilgrimages. Blood donation camps are organized in collaboration with authorities. Medical equipment and other medical supplies are donated to hospitals to support them in serving those in need of medical attention.

WHY DOES VMRK RUN MEDICAL CAMPS

The VMRK medical camp program began in 2012 in Haryana and quickly expanded to serve communities in other states: Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Karnataka, and the union territories of Delhi and Chandigarh. The camps are held at VMRK centers throughout the year and during special celebratory events.

The medical camps serve communities in slum areas and villages that don’t have ready access to medical facilities. We also hold medical camps at traditional brick factories so that the laborers can access free medical care and free medicines without leaving their workplace. We also organize medical camps during pilgrimages, some of which involve arduous treks across high-altitude mountainous terrains.

WHY DOES VMRK RUN BLOOD DONATION CAMPS

Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra collaborates with the Red Cross Society, government hospitals and blood banks to organize blood donation camps in different states on multiple occasions throughout the year. We arrange events and programs to promote these blood donation camps, and provide the facilities and refreshments. We also encourage our volunteers and event and program attendees to donate blood.

Pilgrimage Medical Care

WHY ARE PILGRIMAGES SERVICES NEEDED

Across India, pilgrimage—or yatra—is a timeless expression of faith and devotion. Every year, millions of devotees walk long distances through mountains, forests, and remote terrains to reach holy destinations. These journeys are spiritually uplifting, but they can also be physically demanding, exposing pilgrims to exhaustion, dehydration, respiratory issues, altitude sickness, fatigue, and other health risks.

For many devotees—especially the elderly, economically disadvantaged, or those traveling long distances—access to reliable medical assistance can make the difference between completing the yatra safely and facing serious health risks. Sant Baljit Singh Ji continuously inspires VMRK to support devotees to complete their yatra safely. VMRK provides free, compassionate pilgrimage assistance, including medical aid, rest facilities, and on-route support to devotees who are vulnerable to the challenges of these difficult yatras. By offering timely care and a helping hand, we make it possible for thousands of pilgrims to focus on what matters most—their faith, their prayers, and their journey toward inner peace.

Free Food for Attendants (pre Covid-19)

READ MORE ABOUT Free Food for Attendants

In India, it is customary that attendants accompany patients who have to remain in hospitals for some days. The attendants are the caregivers who help their patients with daily activities such as personal grooming, feeding, helping the patient move around, and ensuring that the patient is comfortable.

Patients may come from far away towns, villages, or even from different states. Often, it is not possible for their attendants to travel back and forth daily during the patient’s stay at the hospital. Therefore, the attendants have to make their own arrangements. Some patients can barely afford to pay for their medical fees, much less pay for their attendants’ food and daily necessities. These attendants have to struggle to arrange their own meals while taking care of their patients.

Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra supports these attendants with nutritious and healthy food cooked at our centers. The hot cooked food is brought to the hospitals and served to the attendants.

Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra has been serving food to attendants, free of cost, at government hospitals in Chandigarh and Delhi. These programs strive to serve those who are undergoing hardship or struggles. Sharing with others in their time of need is inspired by the organization’s focus on caring and sharing.

Serve selflessly with love and serve safely, ensuring your well-being as well as the well-being of those around you. By doing so, we are serving God in different forms.
