Medical camps 2022

In 2022, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK) resumed its medical camps after a two-year hiatus prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, we began our medical camps in the states of Punjab and Haryana, and in the union territory of Chandigarh. Later in the year, these camps were also extended to the states of Himachal Pradesh and Maharashtra.

These medical camps were held either in VMRK centers or its surrounding areas. These areas were pre-identified by our volunteers through communication with the local administration. Some of these areas were so remote that no motor vehicle could reach there. Therefore, our team had to use bicycles to transport medical equipment and medicines required to run the medical camps.

The medical camps were held weekly and each one started around 10 or 11 in the morning and finished mid-afternoon. More than 470 camps were held throughout the year including camps organized during Ashvin Navratri event.

VMRK’s medical team of doctors, pharmacists and volunteers served at these medical camps. The team conducted basic health check-ups, provided patients with hygiene education and also encouraged them to follow healthy habits. Thousands of patients with health problems including high blood pressure, diabetes, fever, cold, and cough, received medical consultation, first aid, and medicines free of cost.

These medical camps attended to the healthcare needs of the community and spread awareness of prevention and treatment.

Under the spiritual guidance of Sant Baljit Singh Ji, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK) organized a free medical camp on September 18, 2022 at Shanti Nagar through its Hoshiarpur center. Several patients attended the camp. They were duly checked and diagnosed by a team of qualified and experienced doctors. They were also given prescribed medicines. We are very happy that the medical camp was held to treat the underprivileged patients in our area. We, the residents of this area, are extremely glad for the services provided by VMRK.

On December 4, 2022, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK) held a free medical camp in the village Ambe, Dhule, Maharashtra. Many patients attended the camp. A team of qualified and experienced doctors examined all of them. After diagnosis, prescribed medicines were given for free. VMRK’s volunteers from its Dahiwad center served and looked after all the patients and attendants with love. VMRK offered a holy and highly commendable service. On behalf of the gram panchayat, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to VMRK for its support to our underprivileged community. I hope you will continue welfare services in the future as well.
