Serving kanwarias at kanwar camps 2022
When the Kanwar Yatra resumed in 2022, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK) promptly recommenced its charitable program of camps to support the kanwarias with medical care, food, refreshments, and rest. Read more in our blog post: Organizing the kanwar camps 2022.
From July 16 to August 8, 2022, hundreds of thousands of kanwarias visited the 53 kanwar camps set up by VMRK. More than 44,900 kanwarias received medical services, first aid, and medicines from the qualified medical doctors and paramedical staff stationed at the camps.
Peaceful, calm, and restful ambience for the kanwarias
The silence observed at the camps presented a peaceful, calm, and restful ambience for the kanwarias. VMRK volunteers served the kanwarias freshly cooked vegetables, chapati, fresh fruits, milk, and fruit juice. Many kanwarias took rest in the accommodation facilities that provided separate male and female rest areas and washrooms. The kanwarias also availed the ancillary services such as kanwar holding points, shoe repair, and mobile charging points.
Kanwarias appreciated that the VMRK camps provided rest areas with sheets that were changed regularly after use. This allowed the kanwarias to lighten their load without needing to carry sheets for when they need to take rest during their pilgrimage. Many kanwarias left comments in our visitor log, some are listed below:
For the past many years, I and my Kanwar Yatra group have been availing the opportunities to visit the camps organized by Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK). Here, I always felt the presence of a unique quality – discipline and commitment to serve mankind. Whenever we visited a VMRK camp, we were moved by the love, humility, and dedication manifested in the volunteers to serve others. I am lost for words to describe the superior work being done by VMRK.
I, along with my fellow kanwarias, stayed at the camp set up by Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra. The facilities that we were offered here were exceptional and not seen anywhere else on the journey from Haridwar to Hudina. Moreover, we also did not see such devotion to maintain cleanliness and hygiene anywhere else.
We were also delighted by the thoughtfulness of the volunteers here.

We are a group of 14 kanwaria pilgrims, returning from Haridwar to Delhi. Before reaching Shahabad, we availed the facilities provided by Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK), Nawan Nagar, Haryana in the district Herta Petlad. They offered us medical care also. Our team was given a very nice resting place where water coolers were also available. We felt it a great place to take rest.
We would like to express our gratitude to the VMRK volunteers for their lovely care and service. During our journey, nowhere else could we find a place with the same amenities as we were given here. We would also like to submit our deep sense of gratitude to Sant Baljit Singh Ji, the Spiritual Master of VMRK, for his blessings and charitable services to the devotees of Lord Shiva.

It is our faith and trust in God that allow our devotion toward the omnipresent God to take place in our heart. Devotion is a subtle emotion and devotion comes from pure love in our heart without any hint of doubt.
