Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra organizes charitable social service programs that distribute basic needs to families in low-income neighborhood areas. These programs are inspired by the teachings of Sant Baljit Singh Ji that motivate our volunteers to see and serve God in everyone.
Blanket and cloth distribution
Winter brings biting cold waves that often make survival challenging, especially for the underprivileged and homeless people. Every year, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK) reaches out to these people to provide them with the comforting warmth of blankets.

Sewing machines for widows and wheelchairs for handicapped
In September 2020, the Maharashtra government issued a circular that paved the way for charitable organizations to help farmers’ widows. A month later, in October 2020, the deputy commissioners of Nandurbar and Dhulia invited Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra to a meeting to discuss assistance for the widows. The deputy commissioners asked us to help them by donating sewing machines and spray pumps for the crops in the fields.
Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra donated 56 sewing machines with stands and 25 battery spray pumps to the widows in Dhule and Nandurbar. The deputy commissioners in attendance acknowledged the event with a letter of appreciation.
Each year, the Himachal Pradesh government announces targets for its Integrated Rural Development Program (IRDP). In 2021, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra was invited to offer assistance to three villages: Kot, Gah, and Koshariyan. These villages are in very remote areas of Himachal Pradesh where there is no road access.
Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra participated in the program by donating wheelchairs to handicapped persons and 9 sewing machines with stands to widows in the three aforementioned villages. Our volunteers arranged the donations and transported them to the villages by boat across the Gobind Sagar Lake. The heads of the villages officiated at the event.
Support for underprivileged students
Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra collaborates with schools to provide basic educational necessities. In 2019, we supported 307 schools in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.
Disaster relief
Over the years, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra has organized relief programs and mobilised our volunteers to provide aid in response to fire outbreaks in slums and villages, floods from torrential rains and monsoons, and devastating earthquakes.
When communities lose all their possessions due to unexpected natural disasters, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra volunteers immediately approach the local administration to provide relief to the victims. In hard times, we step forward to work together to care and share with those in need.
In 2021, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra continued to organize fire relief charitable activities whilst adhering to the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the local, state and central bodies.
Water Coolers and Water Purifiers for Health & Wellness at PGIMER
Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK) has consistently offered unwavering support to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh over the past several years. This support includes donations of essential items including ventilators, PPE kits, and blankets, as well as physical assistance from VMRK volunteers. On June 19, 2024, the Head of the Department of Hospital Administration-cum-Medical Superintendent, PGIMER requested VMRK to donate water coolers and water purifiers. These were needed for their recently established new Outpatient Department Ward to provide clean and safe drinking water for staff, patients, and visitors.
VMRK, grateful to PGIMER for providing the opportunity to extend our charitable initiatives further, took prompt action. On the morning of June 24, five water coolers, each with a capacity of 80 liters along with water purifiers, were purchased. These items were then loaded onto a pickup truck by a team of five VMRK volunteers and transported to PGIMER.
Later that day VMRK presented these items to the Director, Medical Superintendent, and other staff members of PGIMER. The director of PGIMER expressed heartfelt appreciation for VMRK’s ongoing support and timely assistance to the institution.

VISHAV MANAV RUHANI KENDRA, NAWAN NAGAR DONATED WATER COOLERS TO PGI
Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK), Nawan Nagar, a renowned charitable organization has been establishing new milestones in its charitable services. As a significant contribution, VMRK has donated five water coolers, each with a capacity of 80 liters and water purifiers to PGI. Conveying gratitude to VMRK, Professor Vivek Lal, Director of PGI, said that the dedication of organizations like VMRK in supporting healthcare services is commendable. VMRK’s continuous efforts in providing essential resources significantly enhance our ability to serve patients and their families effectively. The recent donation of water coolers and purifiers is a testament to VMRK’s unwavering support and commitment to public health.
Professor Vipin Kaushal, the Head of the Department of Hospital Administration-cum-Medical Superintendent said that PGI, which caters to a large number of patients and their attendants, faced a shortage of pure drinking water due to the ongoing heat waves in northern India. VMRK has taken steps to fulfill this need by donating high-quality water coolers and water purifiers to the institution. Professor Kaushal also said that VMRK has been continuously supporting PGI, which has previously donated essential resources such as ventilators, wheelchairs, blankets, and PPE kits, and provided manpower during critical times in the past.
At the charity event, Manmohan Singh representing VMRK, highlighted the organization’s commitment to serve humanity under the inspiration of Sant Baljit Singh Ji. He also said that VMRK is extending its charitable activities to challenging terrain areas, organizing free medical camps, and providing refreshment facilities during pilgrimages like Shri Adi Kailash Yatra and Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. VMRK also provides medical services and free food to devotees during the annual Kanwar Yatra. Manmohan Singh thanked the Director and Medical Superintendent of PGI for giving VMRK the opportunity to serve those in need. Reaffirming VMRK’s commitment to provide assistance during any challenges, Manmohan said that VMRK takes great pride in contributing to the welfare of the community and it would continue with its efforts to serve mankind, especially during these challenging times.
Water Cooler for Health & Wellness Center at Kot Fatuhi
The Health and Wellness Center at Kot Fatuhi in Punjab serves the local community from 15-16 surrounding villages. Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra volunteers visited the center to offer support. The medical officer Dr. Naina Bharti requested a water cooler to provide patients cold water in summer. Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra responded by donating a 60-liter water cooler in May 2021.
Blankets & Groceries for Manav Sewa Tirth in Vele, Chopda
Manav Sewa Tirth is a non-government organization located in Vele village, Chopda, Maharashtra. The center provides medical treatment, care, and rehabilitation for homeless psychiatric patients roaming in the streets.
When the center requested assistance in April 2021, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra promptly donated blankets and one month’s rations comprising 540kg flour, 600kg daals, 180kg rice, 60kg poha, 70kg sugar, 60kg salt, 16kg besan, 24kg suji, 48kg channa, 8kg tea, 12kg ground nut, 16kg gur, 2.5 kg turmeric, 2 kg jeera, 7kg chilli powder, 2kg rye, 6 containers of soya oil of 15 kg each, 15kg washing powder, 60 pieces of washing soap, 12 sets of bathing soap, 5 packs of toothpaste, and 6 bottles of hair oil.
Fruit Distribution and Personal Hygiene Awareness (pre Covid-19)
Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra conducts charitable programs in slum areas to create the awareness among the people to look after their personal hygiene. Through these programs, we distribute free nail cutters, soaps, toothpastes, toothbrushes, mosquito nets, etc.
