Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra collaborated with hospitals in Chandigarh to donate essential medical supplies to protect Covid-19 frontline healthcare workers i.e. doctors and nurses.
Civil Hospital, Sector 45, Chandigarh
In February 2021, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra donated baby weighing machines, poly fiberglass baby hoods, fetal dopplers, baby pulse oximeters, fridge thermometers, adult weighing machines, portable headlights, pediatric laryngoscopes, blood pressure apparatus, and digital stethoscopes.
PGIMER, Chandigarh
When Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK) contacted PGI to enquire about the hospital’s needs, the PGI’s superintendent told us: “The doctors wear PPE kits and feel warm so they need air conditioning. But the patients are cold using the air conditioner. So, we are really in need of thick blankets.”
The institution also shared that they have to put employees on duty in front of the gates and doors with sanitizer bottles to sanitize visitors’ hands. Upon VMRK enquiring what would help with this situation, the superintendent noted that automatic hand sanitizers with sensors would help the institution save manpower and ensure safety.
Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra responded by donating hand sanitizers with sensors and blankets to PGIMER in August 2020.
In May 2021 Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra delivered another donation of blankets, pillow covers, automatic sanitizer dispensers, disposable hospital bed sheets, and adult diapers.
