Spiritual Discourse March 2026, Nagpur, Maharashtra
Nagpur, March 2026
Many Nagpur locals attend the weekly free well-being programs at Lighthouse Center Nagpur. Hosted by Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK), these programs are busy, energetic and vibrant. That said, the atmosphere shifts from busy to dynamic when Sant Baljit Singh Ji makes his annual visit to pay tribute to our Grand Master’s death anniversary.
This year, the commemoration was held on March 7. Large numbers from different states across India poured into Lighthouse Center Nagpur to attend Sant Baljit Singh Ji’s spiritual discourse and have his darshan. Sant Baljit Singh Ji graced attendees with his presence for several additional days after the event, making the event even more memorable!
Preparations for the event
These annual events are larger than Lighthouse Center Nagpur can accommodate, so each year VMRK hosts the event offsite. This year, the strong turnout last year led VMRK to arrange an even larger site approximately 3 kilometers away.
Since a road divided the site into 2 sections, VMRK placed the main event grounds on one side and the parking area on the other. Before anything could be set up, a large team of volunteers leveled the uneven terrain with backhoe loaders. This made it possible to set up multiple tents for the main event, lodging, preparing and serving food, and other uses. On the opposite side, other volunteers organized the parking area into sections to fit different types and sizes of vehicles.
Inviting event atmosphere
By the day of the spiritual discourse, vibrant decorations had adorned the event grounds. A welcoming gateway guided attendees toward a pathway to the main event tents. Inside, fabric bands in white, yellow, and beige draped across the ceiling. On the dais hung portraits of God Shiva, our Grand Master, and the Great Grand Master, while sunflowers added color to the floral arrangements.
From the afternoon, the crowd began converging at the main event tents. As they waited for Sant Baljit Singh Ji’s arrival, some attendees sat in meditation while some discussed the upcoming event in excitement.
By evening, the main event grounds buzzed with anticipation. To accommodate the crowd that continued to arrive, volunteers expanded the seating area by laying out mats around the main event tents and food-service tents. Additionally, volunteers set up additional food service points to serve food without delay.
At around 6 pm, professional singers started performing devotional songs. Thirteen large LED screens and audio equipment across the event grounds allowed those seated far away to enjoy the entire evening program.
Sant Baljit Singh Ji’s arrival
When Sant Baljit Singh Ji arrived, a ripple of excitement cascaded through the audience! Having longed for this moment, they felt their hearts fill with joy as they watched him walk to the dais.
On the dais, Sant Baljit Singh Ji carefully draped a large garland of flowers over God Shiva’s portrait. As the devotees looked on, they chanted devotional praises to God Shiva for some minutes. Appreciating their devotion, Sant Baljit Singh Ji smiled warmly and stood facing them as they chanted. Next, he walked over to the portraits of our Grand Master and Great Grand Master, and offered his respects in the same manner. Thereafter, Sant Baljit Singh Ji took his seat, and the devotional songs resumed.
Spiritual Discourse and Initiation
Then, Sant Baljit Singh Ji began the spiritual discourse and spoke for some time. Observing the attendees’ eagerness, he extended the discourse to around four hours as the audience listened with riveted attention.
During the discourse, Sant Baljit Singh Ji highlighted the role of the Guru and the purpose of human life. He also explained the nature of creation as an interplay of Shiva and Shakti, and that maya is inevitable for creation to exist.
Following this, Sant Baljit Singh Ji walked through the different sections of the seating areas. Attendees grew visibly excited as they enjoyed a closer glimpse of him, while professional singers performed devotional songs.
On the morning of March 8, Sant Baljit Singh Ji gave the holy gift of Naam Daan to the spiritual seekers who received initiation into the meditation of the inner Light and Sound. After the program concluded at the main event tents, the new initiates excitedly left their seats and lined the path to wait for Sant Baljit Singh Ji. As he walked past, they began chanting “Har Har Mahadev” in praise of God Shiva.
Post-event darshan program
Later that evening and the next two evenings, attendees sat in sections as they waited for Sant Baljit Singh Ji. Locals also came to Lighthouse Center Nagpur each evening to enjoy his presence. Devotional singers filled the air with soulful songs as everyone waited patiently in reverence.
Each evening, Sant Baljit Singh Ji smiled warmly as he walked along the pathways for nearly three hours. The attendees were overwhelmed with joy and expressed themselves by singing and clapping enthusiastically in unison. Many even got up and danced!
On March 10, after walking among the attendees, Sant Baljit Singh Ji stood facing them. To the delight of the attendees, each was then given the opportunity to walk past Sant Baljit Singh Ji. As they did so, Sant Baljit Singh Ji placed his hand over their heads. In Indian culture, this gesture is considered as a blessing from elders. The darshan program concluded on the same day, leaving hearts overflowing with gratitude.
Charitable activities in Nagpur
Within a month of organizing a massive charitable drive during the birth anniversary and Mahashivaratri events at Lighthouse Center Pimpalner, VMRK organized another drive during this event. VMRK assigned volunteers to specific roles and locations; some served at Lighthouse Center Nagpur and others at sites up to 300 kilometers away. Below are the initiatives carried out between February 27 and March 10.
Medical and hygiene camps
From March 5–8, VMRK ran a 24-hour medical camp with an 11-bed clinical treatment center at the main event grounds. These services were relocated to Lighthouse Center Nagpur from March 8–10 to coincide with the celebrations held there.
Thousands of patients were treated for dehydration, vomiting, body pain, fever, and traveler’s diarrhea by a team of 54 medical professionals and 30 volunteers. VMRK also deployed ambulances across the event premises for prompt emergency response, with the count peaking at four on the day of the spiritual discourse.
To support underprivileged communities, VMRK organized medical and hygiene camps in slum areas at eight locations. While identifying these locations, our volunteers learned that residents faced two key challenges. The nearest healthcare center was far away, making medical care difficult to access, and medicines were often unaffordable. Volunteers also observed that many residents lacked basic sanitation practices, such as regular use of bathing soap.
At each location, a team of 1 doctor, 2 nurses, and 3 pharmacists provided free consultations and medicines. Patients with hygiene-related conditions were also educated on proper hygiene practices. Following the medical camp, VMRK distributed hygiene kits to the residents. Across all eight locations, more than 810 individuals received medical care and over 510 hygiene kits were distributed.

On March 5, 2026, VMRK organized a free medical camp and distributed medicines within our area. A total of 118 people received medical checkups and were provided with free medicines. Additionally, 80 people in need benefited from the hygiene camp, where hygiene kits were distributed.
All the volunteers—including experienced doctors, pharmacists, and staff—sent by VMRK served the patients visiting the camp with a spirit of selfless service and also helped promote the camp throughout the village. We have also learned from the people that VMRK carries out various social services in numerous locations. Engaged in diverse forms of service and social work, this organization remains ever ready to assist humanity and those in need in every possible way—a quality that truly defines the essence of the organization. The work undertaken by your organization is highly commendable.
We express our gratitude to Sant Baljit Singh Ji and extend our best wishes for these social initiatives. On behalf of our Gram Panchayat and its residents, we offer our heartfelt salutations to VMRK.

Blood donation camp
VMRK organized a two-day blood donation camp at Lighthouse Center Nagpur in collaboration with the Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur. Before donating, each prospective donor underwent a preliminary health check-up to ensure their eligibility. A total of 53 people successfully donated 53 units (18.55 liters) of blood.
Donating educational materials to students
VMRK targeted 72 schools during this event, including those in the tribal-dominated region of Melghat, Maharashtra. Volunteers observed that many students carried materials by hand or in makeshift plastic bags, while some had no notebooks and relied on slates. In consultation with school staff, volunteers compiled a list of required materials for each school. From February 27 to March 7, volunteers visited all schools and distributed materials to more than 3,190 students, each of whom received them with joy and excitement.

On March 7, 2026, VMRK volunteers, inspired by their spiritual head, Sant Baljit Singh Ji, visited our school to distribute educational materials to 85 students. These materials included school bags, compass boxes, notebooks, pencil kits, and color boxes.
Our area is rural and forms part of the Melghat region. This region is predominantly inhabited by tribal communities living in forest areas. Here, children often struggle to obtain a proper meal. Due to a lack of adequate resources, children in this area are unable to experience holistic development; consequently, the government has designated it as a malnutrition-affected area.
This region is home to children from tribal communities and underprivileged families who depend on daily wage labor. Due to poor financial conditions, many children are unable to pursue higher education.
The school supplies provided by VMRK are an immense help to the students. Most importantly, the quality of the materials is excellent, which brought smiles to the children’s faces. Witnessing this, my eyes filled with tears, as I had never seen such joy on their faces before. For this noble endeavour, we express our heartfelt gratitude to Sant Baljit Singh Ji.
The materials were distributed free of cost and with a spirit of selfless service. The work done by the volunteers is truly commendable, as they completed their service without any expectations in return. We also thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
In conclusion, I offer my humble obeisance and express my deepest gratitude to Sant Baljit Singh Ji, the spiritual head of VMRK. I conclude my words by extending a warm invitation to him to visit our school.
