Spiritual Discourse March 2026, Nawan Nagar, Haryana

Nawan Nagar, March 2026

Throughout the year, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK), hosts several large-scale devotional events to celebrate festivities or special occasions at its Lighthouse Center Nawan Nagar. Among these, a spiritual discourse is organized to celebrate the birth anniversary of our revered Grand Master. In 2026, VMRK once again celebrated the occasion with immense enthusiasm and devotion on March 28.

Planning for the event

Because this momentous commemorative event followed right after Navratri, VMRK retained the services and preparations detailed in 2026 Spring (Chaitra) Navratri Festival. This continuity allowed VMRK volunteers to transition between the two events with additional preparations. Volunteers hung the portraits of our Great Grand Master, God Shiva, and our Grand Master to grace the dais for the occasion. Other volunteers renewed the dais decorations and floral arrangements, while yet more volunteers refreshed the rangoli and floral arrangements throughout the grounds.

VMRK anticipated that a huge crowd would come to listen to Sant Baljit Singh Ji speak at the spiritual discourse. Expecting the attendance to surge and surpass the Navratri attendance, VMRK deployed a significantly larger number of volunteers across all services. The number of LED screens was also increased to nine to ensure that the event was accessible to attendees even in the farthest reaches of the tents.

A day of spiritual fervor

The day of the spiritual discourse saw a much larger crowd than anticipated. By late afternoon, attendees had already filled the three main event tents, spanning 84,000 square feet. As more attendees continued to arrive, volunteers worked quickly to accommodate everyone by laying out carpets in the open area connecting the main event tents and the food service tent.

As evening approached, the atmosphere grew increasingly festive. Lighthouse Center Nawan Nagar twinkled with string lights while high-mast lights brightly illuminated the entire event grounds. The pathway to the dais was beautifully adorned with rangoli, and within the main event tents, flower-draped posts lined the pathway, enhancing the ambiance.

At around 6 pm, professional singer Mani Ladla began performing devotional songs. Attendees sang along and clapped in rhythm, immersed in the music. After some time, Sant Baljit Singh Ji arrived, and the vibrant atmosphere grew even more lively. Elated attendees eagerly tried to catch a glimpse of him. As Sant Baljit Singh Ji walked to the dais, he frequently raised and stretched his arm out toward the attendees on both sides, so that even those in the far reaches could see him.

Spiritual discourse

As Sant Baljit Singh Ji took his seat, the devotional singers sang a song dedicated to God Ganesha, the Divine Mother, and God Shiva. When Sant Baljit Singh Ji began the discourse, he addressed the attendees warmly and then folded his hands and bowed his head in greeting. As he did so, the audience reciprocated by bowing their heads with hands folded in reverence. Sant Baljit Singh Ji acknowledged the audience for coming together to celebrate our Grand Master’s birth anniversary and reflect upon the Grand Master’s teachings. He then called out praises in the Grand Master’s honor. The gathering responded with great enthusiasm, and the collective expressions of attendees resonated throughout the venue.

Sant Baljit Singh Ji then continued the discourse for around three and a half hours. During the discourse, he highlighted, “There is only one way to show your love for God: through devotion to Him.”

Darshan

Following the discourse, Sant Baljit Singh Ji walked among the attendees. Everyone longed for this opportunity to see him up close, especially those seated farther away from the dais—extending as far as the food service area. As Sant Baljit Singh Ji made his way through attendees seated in sections, warm smiles were exchanged and many chanted “Har Har Mahadev” in praise of God Shiva. To the delight of the attendees, despite the large crowd, he covered each section by going back and forth, giving attendees the opportunity to have darshan twice.

After visiting all sections, Sant Baljit Singh Ji proceeded to various areas within the event grounds, including the food preparation and dining areas. There, he encouraged the volunteers engaged in service to continue their work in serving the gathering.

Throughout this time, professional singer Gagan Mehra sang devotional songs. Even after Sant Baljit Singh Ji left, the singing continued and many attendees stayed on to enjoy the devotional music before gradually departing.

Naam Daan program

The next day, March 29, heavy rain poured down early morning. Despite this, volunteers acted promptly to ensure the Naam Daan program at the main event tents proceeded as scheduled. Sant Baljit Singh Ji gave the holy gift of Naam Daan to the spiritual seekers who received initiation into the meditation of the inner Light and Sound. As Sant Baljit Singh Ji departed, attendees lined up along his pathway for one more opportunity to have his darshan. The celebrations, which began on March 19, came to a close, leaving attendees to look forward to the next event announcement from VMRK.

Charitable activities in Nawan Nagar

This event was another opportunity for VMRK to deliver charitable services that embed the service-to-humanity principles conveyed in the teachings of Sant Baljit Singh Ji. Over two days, VMRK offered free medical camps, organized blood donation camps, and distributed hygiene kits. These initiatives were held at Lighthouse Center Nawan Nagar and in surrounding regions, extending up to a radius of 25 kilometers.

Medical and hygiene camps

From March 28 to 29, the 24-hour medical services that began during the Navratri celebrations continued at Lighthouse Center Nawan Nagar. See Chaitra Navratri charitable services. Thousands of patients received medical care from the team of 16 doctors, 20 nurses, 15 pharmacists, and 40 volunteers.

VMRK also organized a medical camp in a slum area with very limited medical facilities. The camp ran from afternoon to evening, staffed by a doctor, a pharmacist, and 6 volunteers. More than 70 patients received medical assistance for a range of ailments including tonsillitis, fever, body ache, hypertension, and diarrhea.

At the same location, VMRK took the opportunity to educate the residents on basic hygiene. After emphasizing that prevention is better than cure, volunteers then distributed more than 90 kits to the residents.

Blood donation camp

On the day of the spiritual discourse, VMRK organized two blood donation camps, offered in morning–afternoon and afternoon–evening shifts. A total of 284 individuals came forward to donate at these camps, conducted in collaboration with Command Hospital, Chandi Mandir, Haryana and Civil Hospital, Ropar, Punjab. After screening, doctors found 206 participants fit to donate and collected either 350 ml or 450 ml, depending on each donor’s weight. Following their donation, individuals rested briefly under observation and were served refreshments. As a token of appreciation, each donor received a certificate from the respective hospital in recognition of their contribution.
