Maharashtra – Feeding the hungry
Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra centers in Maharashtra cooked and packed food packets, and prepared ration packets. Village to village, door to door, our volunteers assisted the local administration and police to feed the hungry with these donated items.
Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Pune
During India’s second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, lockdowns imposed around the country left migrant laborers struggling for their daily meals. Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK) volunteers prepared 100 ration kits, each containing 5 kg atta, 3 kg rice, 1 kg daal, 1 liter cooking oil, 1 kg sugar, and bath soap. VMRK volunteers distributed these ration kits at 3 locations: Kharegaon, Karjat, Mumbai; Airoli, Navi Mumbai; and Alandi, Pune.

Ajani, Akola, Hingna, Lakhani, Khaperkheda, Nagpur, Narkhed
Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra cooked and packed hot food packets, each with 3 chappatis and sabji, and prepared ration packets. Each ration packet weighed 10 kg and contained 5 kg atta, 3 kg rice, 1 kg daal, 1 kg salt, 100 gm turmeric, and 100 gm chili.

NASHIK REGION
Bhusawal, Dahiwad, Dhule, Dondaicha, Jalgaon, Khabda, Nandurbar, New Borari, Pimpalner, Sakri, Shahada
Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra cooked and packed hot food packets, each with 3 chappatis and sabji, or 6 puri and sabji, and prepared ration packets. Each ration packet weighed 9 kg and contained 2 kg rice, 2 kg atta, 2 kg sugar, 1 kg salt, 1 kg daal, 1 dettol soap, 1 rin soap, 1 packet of biscuits, 100 gm masala, 100 gm turmeric, 100 gm cumin, and 100 gm tea. Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra distributed another 180 ration packets in Pimpalner and Sakri in early June 2020.
