Spiritual Discourse February 2025, Pimpalner, Maharashtra

Pimpalner, February 2025

On February 8, Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK) celebrated the birth anniversary of our beloved Great Grand Master at the Pimpalner center in the Indian state of Maharashtra. To commemorate this occasion, Sant Baljit Singh Ji gave a spiritual discourse. The event was attended by a large gathering of people and was filled with an atmosphere of devotion and reverence.

Planning and preparation

VMRK planned and prepared several months in advance to organize a smooth and well-run event. Multiple teams of volunteers were formed, each performing different tasks. Pimpalner village is situated on a plateau and includes hilly terrain. The event grounds spanned around 34 acres and had some uneven areas. Therefore, backhoe loaders were used to prepare the grounds by leveling the surface. Following this, multiple tents were set up to host the large crowd, who often arrive early and stay late after the event concludes. The tents included those for the main event, as well as for lodging, food service, and other charitable services.

Transportation

Starting from February 1, 2025, attendees began arriving to join the celebration. A large number of them used the public bus service. As the event day approached, the demand for bus service usually increased significantly. Therefore, VRMK coordinated with the local administration to set up a temporary bus depot at the event grounds. Buses were stationed at this bus depot to provide services to and from bus depots within a 168-kilometer radius around the Pimpalner center. Additionally, VMRK meticulously organized the vehicle parking area with multiple sections based on vehicle type to ensure efficient utilization of the space.

Given the vast area of the event grounds, multiple reception areas were set up at various locations across the grounds. Volunteers stationed at these areas were on hand to assist attendees in navigating to different locations within the event grounds.

Evening program

On the day of the spiritual discourse, attendees started taking their seats early in the main event tents, beginning in the morning. The seating area was divided into multiple sections to accommodate the massive crowd effectively. Around these tents, a 20-foot-wide pathway was designated for emergency use including access for emergency service vehicles. These vehicles included two fire engines and five ambulances, which were stationed at various locations across the event grounds.

The evening program began at 6:30 pm with performances of devotional songs. Thirteen large LED screens and audio equipment were set up to ensure that the event was accessible to everyone across the event grounds. As the time of arrival of Sant Baljit Singh Ji drew nearer, all the tents were filled to the maximum capacity. When more attendees continued to arrive, VMRK volunteers laid out mats in the open area adjacent to these tents to accommodate them.

The entire pathway to the dais was beautifully decorated with flower petals, intricate rangoli, and colorful tinsels. Many attendees lined the pathway on both sides, excitedly awaiting the arrival of Sant Baljit Singh Ji. Some even sat on the adjacent hills along the way. As Sant Baljit Singh Ji walked along the pathway, his sight brought palpable joy to everyone. He greeted attendees by frequently raising his arm and outstretching it toward them. While attendees seated along the pathway watched him up close, those sitting in the main event tent watched his arrival on the LED screens.

Spiritual Discourse and Initiation

After reaching the dais, Sant Baljit Singh Ji began the discourse. He addressed the attendees for around four and a half hours. He stressed the importance of love for God, saying:

When we love someone, we make the effort to meet the one we love. Similarly, you need to love God also; only then you will make the effort to meet Him. If there is no love for God, you won’t make the effort. Love is everything.

Sant Baljit Singh Ji

After the spiritual discourse, Sant Baljit Singh Ji stood up to leave the dais and walk through the seating area of attendees. They clapped with radiant smiles, eager to enjoy the sight of Sant Baljit Singh Ji from closer proximity. Section by section, Sant Baljit Singh Ji walked through the crowd for about an hour while devotional songs were sung. During this time, little children often presented Sant Baljit Singh Ji flowers, while others greeted him with folded hands.

The next day, on the morning of February 9, Sant Baljit Singh Ji gave the holy gift of Naam Daan to the spiritual seekers, who received initiation into the meditation of the inner Light and Sound.

In the evening of the same day, and subsequently, on the following two days, Sant Baljit Singh Ji came out to be with the attendees who stayed up after the main program. Each evening, attendees gathered along a pathway and Sant Baljit Singh Ji walked through them for over an hour. On February 10 and 11, he gave a short talk, reiterating the words from his spiritual discourse.

Charitable services at Pimpalner

To coincide with the birth anniversary celebration, VMRK conducted multiple charitable activities covering an area of 160 kilometers around the Pimpalner center. Over an eight-day period from February 3 to 10, VMRK organized medical camps, a blood donation camp, distributed hygiene kits, and provided educational materials. Overall, these charitable activities made a meaningful positive impact on the lives of thousands of underprivileged people.

Medical and hygiene camps

VMRK organized two 24-hour operational medical camps at the event grounds. One camp, with a 13-bed clinical treatment center, was situated near the food distribution area, while the other was located near the main event tent. A combined team of 15 doctors, 13 pharmacists, 10 nurses, 5 paramedical staff, and 33 volunteers provided services at these camps. Thousands of patients received free consultations, first aid, and medicines. More than 60 patients received in-house medical attention at the clinical treatment center.

VMRK also organized medical camps in six villages: Behed, Pratappur, Kasare, Anandnagar, Shenpur, and Sitbardi. A team of a doctor, a nurse, a paramedical staff, 2 pharmacists, and 10 VMRK volunteers served at each camp. Patients who visited the camp were suffering from symptoms such as cold, cough, fever, fungal infections, body aches, and joint pain. More than 430 patients received medical care at these camps.

VMRK, through its center in Pimpalner, promoted and spread humanity by offering services to the underprivileged people living in the rural areas of Sakri. Numerous charitable activities were organized under the inspiration of Sant Baljit Singh Ji for underprivileged people in fields such as health and education. A medical camp was organized to address the health problems of the tribals, and people in need in the villages of Sakri. Hygiene kits were also distributed to the villagers on your behalf, and the importance of cleanliness was also emphasized. In addition, educational materials (notebooks, water bottles, geometry boxes, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, color boxes, etc.) were given to students in Sakri to raise awareness and foster enjoyment in education. With the support of VMRK, social work is being carried out to bring smiles to the faces of people in need. This will spread humanity and love in society. In the end, I consider myself very fortunate that the villagers of Sakri had the golden opportunity to receive support from the revered Sant Baljit Singh Ji’s organization. I express my heartfelt gratitude to you and all your volunteers. Thank you.

Besides medical camps, VMRK also organized hygiene camps to promote better health and hygiene practices within underprivileged communities. These camps were held in the villages of Kalgaon, Chhail, Ganeshpur, Nilgavhan, Darkhel, and Dighawe. For distribution at each location, VMRK volunteers had prepared hygiene kits a few weeks in advance. They packed each kit with 4 bath soaps, 4 laundry soaps, 3 toothbrushes, 2 tubes of toothpaste, and 1 nail cutter. During this charitable drive, more than 1,680 hygiene kits were happily received by people in need living in these areas.

Blood donation camp

VMRK collaborated with the Government Hospital, Nandurbar, to organize a blood donation drive at the Pimpalner center. The camp was held over three days, from February 8 to February 10. A few weeks prior to the camp, VMRK volunteers began spreading awareness about the benefits of donating blood to encourage participation. For this, we made regular announcements at the local VMRK centers. As the event approached, volunteers also began making announcements at the event grounds. During these visits, they distributed pamphlets provided by the Government Hospital, Nandurbar, to further inform and engage potential donors.

Each day, the camp started around 10:30 am and continued until 5:30 pm. Doctors at the camp first examined prospective donors to ensure they were fit to donate blood. After the preliminary health checks, 214 individuals were cleared to donate. A total of 214 units, i.e., 74.9 liters of blood, were successfully collected.

Donating educational materials to students

Sant Baljit Singh Ji often emphasizes that the care a child receives during his or her early years of life goes a long way in shaping the child’s future. Therefore, VMRK organized an initiative to distribute educational materials to more than 7,580 students in 103 schools. Many of the schools were located in remote, hilly areas with limited network connectivity. To navigate these remote routes, volunteers either sought assistance from local administration or coordinated with school staff a day before their visit.

At several schools, students welcomed the volunteers with traditional tribal dances. The joy and excitement on the children’s faces as they received their educational materials were truly heartwarming. The school staff, expressing appreciation, often shared with us that the donation of educational materials would motivate students and help improve their attendance.

We sincerely thank Sant Baljit Singh Ji, the spiritual head of VMRK, for selecting our school’s students to receive donations of educational materials. The students who attend our school come from hilly areas and are children of tribal families and laborers. The educational materials provided by VMRK improve the education and promote the all-round development of our school’s students. Many of our students were facing difficulties in their education due to a lack of resources. However, the educational materials provided by you have created new enthusiasm among students from underprivileged families. Your contribution to the development of the children in our school is invaluable. Your efforts help bring society closer to education and create greater interest in it. Today, thanks to you, we were able to bring smiles to the faces of 186 children.
